Surround Yourself with Winners?

Updated: Jul 25, 2018

We often hear "Surround yourself with winners". How about just surrounding ourselves with good people?

Why does everything we do need to feel like a business transaction? Can we not just connect with good people who share similar qualities to us as human beings?

I've disconnected with many people simply because a job didn't work out, a relationship ended or a 3rd party was involved. Shame.

"Ditch friends & family who don't align with your goals. They won't help you succeed." What if those friends & family members are good people? Do I need to sever relationships to have a greater chance of financial success?

Should we not first seek to establish & build solid personal relationships in order to be able to maintain & nurture professional relationships?

If we continue to teach the younger generations to build relationships solely for personal gain, we are in trouble. The essence of society is to connect good people with one another as friends, colleagues & neighbours. This creates a solid social foundation for a greater future.

Today, I can count my friends on one hand.

Adults believe "I only have a few friends these days" is the holy grail, when in reality, it is the sad truth of the world we live in.
